Goals and objectives

• To protect the interests of importers and wholesale manufacturers of medical equipment and supplies on the Bulgarian market;

• To support the imposition of a transparent and fair trade relationships in the industry;

• To take measures for the harmonization of commercial trade activity in Bulgaria with the best practices of the European Union;

• To prepare information for participation in seminars/forums related to specialized programs of the EU for Bulgaria, as well as programs promoting health and working capacity improvements;

• To organize discussions on issues of foreign trade, financial, monetary and fiscal nature relating to the development of Bulgarian business and provide summary comments and suggestions for amending the regulations to the competent authorities in Bulgaria;

• To organize meetings with representatives of the Bulgarian authorities and public agencies to discuss issues related to development of the Bulgarian medical business;

• To be involved in suggesting for amendments and additions to legislations regulating trade with medical equipment and supplies, including participation in the Parliamentary Health Committee in adopting the Law on Medical Products;

• To organize meetings on regular basis with representatives of such organizations, in order to present new opportunities for expanding cooperation;

• To participate as a member in international and Bulgarian similar organizations to promote and improve operations and effectiveness.

BAMDE offers various services, including:

• Exchange of information and experience relating to the exercised by members of BAMDE business activities;

• Establishing contacts with the public administration and its structures at different levels and with NGOs and public organizations;

• Information about events thus stimulating the development of the organizations in the industry;

• Searching for potential trading partners, providing industry address localization information of suitable partners.
